Create a beautiful book full of texture, mystery, and movement. Learn how to construct an altered book with pockets, drawers, windows, niches and more. In the first half of the class we'll look at how to structure your book to keep it from falling apart, how to make windows, drawers, and different types of pockets. We will then explore creating a color pallet and mixing paints and mediums to create different effects for our backgrounds. Then we'll explore lots and lots of techniques to add a marvelous amount of texture and artistic interests to our pages.

• A Few Favorite Colors of Artist Quality Acrylic Paint Including One Metallic, (Golden or Liquitex Brands)
• Mica Powder Such as Pearl Ex (1-2colors)
• Gesso
• Lightweight Molding Paste
• Regular (Gloss) Gel Medium

• 5 Containers with Lids for Mixing Paint
