Fireweed 2008 Registration Information
  • Fireweed registration is accepted by email only.

  • Registration opens on May 5, 2008 and requires a one-time non-refundable registration fee. The price of lunch is included in every full day class.

  • Workshops are assigned on a first come-first served basis and are limited by the room sizes at the venue. Class size is a minimum of 10 but waitlists are available for most classes. If you are waitlisted, you will be notified immediately and added to the class when room is available. Your credit card is not charged until you are cleared from the waitlist and your class is confirmed by email notification. Other events, such as the Meet the Artists Opening Reception and the Fireweed Closing Brunch, are also included on the registration form and attendance is not limited.

  • Registration confirmation is immediate upon completion of the online registration process which is quick and easy! Information packets will be mailed at the beginning of September 2008 and will include all class, lunch and event tickets as well as your Fireweed Event Information Guide.

  • Payment must accompany your email registration and is accepted in the form of credit card only. Payment is based on the total of your confirmed workshops, non-refundable registration fee and any incidental merchandise or event admission you wish to purchase. We’ll contact you via email in the event of a discrepancy or refund due. Workshop Kit fees are payable to the instructor at the beginning of classes requiring them.

  • The web-based registration system allows you the option of paying in full or with two installments. If you choose to pay in installments, the full non-refundable registration fee plus 1/2 of the workshop and other fees is due and payable at the time of registration. The second installment is due and payable no later than July 15, 2008. You will receive one reminder email but it is your responsibility to pay the remainder on or before the deadline. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of your workshops and forfeit of any payments made.

  • You can add or reschedule classes by re-registering on the web system. There is a $30.00 change fee for each workshop changed plus the difference in cost but you do not have to pay another registration fee. Any refunds due to a difference in class charges will be processed separately and issued within 10 days of your changes. Fireweed is not able to process phone or fax changes. The deadline for changing classes is August 31, 2008.

  • You may cancel your attendance at Fireweed prior to July 31, 2008 with a $50 processing fee plus the non-refundable registration fee. Cancellations on or after August 1, 2008 are non-refundable however, you may to send someone else to Fireweed instead. Just tell us who will be attending in your place by providing the same information for them that you put on the registration form and emailing it to us at fireweed.art@gmail.com. If the Fireweed Event Information Guide has already been mailed, you will have to provide your substitute attendee with the appropriate workshop, lunch and event tickets and other information. Fireweed can only accept original tickets at the event. Copies will not be honored and tickets will not be reissued.

  • Fireweed 2008 and Aurora Designs reserve the right to cancel workshops that do not meet minimum student registrations. In this event, you will be notified and given the opportunity to change to a different workshop or request a refund of your payment for the cancelled workshop without any additional change fees.

  • In the case of Acts of God, war, disaster or unforeseen circumstances, Aurora Designs reserves the right to reschedule this event.
